I would highly recommend The Beginners Jewellery Making Course at Square Peg Studios. The teacher, Emily Copp, was patient, encouraging and so generous with her knowledge and equipment. I love the silver ring and earrings that I made!
As an aspirational but otherwise novice silver jewellery maker I approached this course with some trepidation. It was very pleasing to meet our teacher Emily Copp and to have her take our small band of ten through the basics and the creation of our first pieces. Emily was always patient and had the capacity to guide both the group and each of us on individual projects. The work space was great and the tools of good quality. As our seven weeks progressed the comradery which developed between our group and the sharing of the different ideas was very pleasing. All in all a very valuable introduction to the tools and practises needed to match creative ideas.
The beginners jewellery making course was great. We learnt all the basics, including annealing, soldering, saw piecing, forming and hammering metal. We were then given the freedom to apply all of these skills in our own mini projects. Erin was a great teacher and very knowledgable. Would highly recommend!
