I had a fantastic introduction to jewellery making at Squarepeg. It was recommended to me like a reflex action by a friend. Our tutor Erin worked nonstop throughout the course to be on hand to coach us in the skills we needed to realise our planned designs. We could also elaborate in different directions as our competency improved.
The studio is well resourced with plenty of tools and labour saving equipment. We were given excellent starter packs of copper and argentium by A&E Metal to begin day one (who also have excellent customer service and are highly recommended).
Absolurely loved the beginners jewellery course - was the highlight of my week (for 7 weeks)! I am so proud of what I managed to make in that time. Loved our teacher Erin - she made the class very hands on, and was extremely patient and a hoot!
The beginner class ran for 6 weeks and I was sad to see it end. I learnt more than I thought I would and was surprised at the quality of the end product. These new skills are too much fun to waste, so will be back soon for intermediate!
